J. Andrew Meyer
Attorney — Complex & Class Litigation
A seasoned litigator and appellate lawyer who has served as lead or co-lead counsel in major consumer class actions.
Biography
J. Andrew Meyer brings a litigator’s edge and an appellate lawyer’s precision to Finn Law Group’s complex and class-action practice. Over the course of his career he has represented consumers in some of the most significant class actions of their kind — often as lead or co-lead counsel.
A Florida native, Mr. Meyer graduated with high honors from the University of Florida before earning his law degree there in 1995. He began his career in public service, including work in the Florida Attorney General’s Office and as a senior staff attorney at Florida’s Second District Court of Appeal, where he clerked for the Honorable Chris W. Altenbernd.
He went on to partner at a major Florida defense firm, concentrating on appellate work, before joining the Complex Litigation Group at Morgan & Morgan, where he represented consumers in nationwide class actions. That combination of defense-side discipline and plaintiff-side advocacy gives him an uncommon command of how large-scale litigation is won.
Mr. Meyer has served as lead or co-lead counsel in matters including major class and consumer-protection actions, and he is admitted to practice before numerous federal courts of appeal and district courts across the country.
