If you have ever tried to book the same high demand timeshare resort again through an exchange company, you may have been told you cannot. Often, the reason is something called the “1 in 4 rule.”

In some cases, owners with larger point balances feel the disappointment more sharply, because they expected that “more points” automatically meant “more access” to the same top resorts, year after year.
